Nice sized quarters of cabbage, biodynamic broccoli, purple carrots, new season spuds and bunches of spinach - it's starting to look less like summer.
Sweet corn will continue, Ronald is still picking small amounts of tomato and we still have late strong flushes of zucchini to keep the boxes interesting.
Eat well,
Graham

A new pick of LEEK returns this week - coming from Colac, these beauties will be in the large Victorian boxes. We’re still getting ONIONS from near Geelong - they’ll be in the smaller boxes and the Mixed Choice.
PURPLE CARROTS from Adam in Bullarto have been pretty good this season - so we’re going to be including them (and yellow ones) in the boxes over the next few weeks.
Adam is also starting to pick his new season DUTCH CREAM potato and will see us through until late Winter (at least).
BROCCOLI mostly from biodynamic growers up north, and a small amount from Shepparton.
Bunches of SPINACH from Pearcedale are this week's greens along with SALAD MIX from Yarra Valley. The ICEBERG Lettuce from Mornington is in between picks - hope to see it back in a couple of weeks.
CAPSICUM continues its bumper season - plenty in the boxes. So too SWEET CORN although some growers are starting to slow.
And ZUCCHINI is enjoying a late flush amongst Vic growers that were protected from the extreme heat earlier in the season.
For lovers of RED SWEET POTATO, we should have some this week.
New season biodynamic FUJI APPLES are our pick of the apples for the boxes, along with early season SUMMER PINK (also from the Mocks biodynamic orchards in Red Hill).
Biodynamic PEARS from Shepparton and biodynamic PLUMS from Swan Hill are the other prime Vic seasonal fruit in the boxes.
STRAWBERRIES are slowing with the cooler weather, but we should still have some available after a series of warm days.
AVOCADO also returns this week - probably not peak quality, they’ll be green still, and certainly not peak value at 2 for $8 - but a lot less than conventional ones in the stupidmarkets :)
