Greens are loving these warmer days, and the recent rains on both sides of the peninsula mean plenty for the boxes this week.

We have silverbeet from Yarra Valley, baby cos lettuce from Baxter and a new pick of leeks from Colac.

You’ll also find asparagus and avana mandarins in this week's boxes for the first of the season.

THIS WEEKS PRODUCE

Spring is here when ASPARAGUS is here :) And this week we’re bringing it in from Koo Wee Rup - won’t be in too many of the boxes just yet, but once the price comes back in the next few weeks we’ll get it to as many of you as possible.

Perfect companions to asparagus will be LEEK from Colac and SILVERBEET from down the Yarra Valley.

Swan Hill BEETROOT with leaves will be picked fresh for our root veg, along with PARSNIP from up north.

CAULIFLOWER starting to slow - this week will be a pick of small heads from Baxter growers. 

BROCCOLI also from local Vic growers - plenty of nice fresh florets in the boxes; and BROCCOLINI from Bairnsdale is back too.

LEBANESE CUCUMBER from up north has been excellent - and for the boxes, we have good quality odd shaped cukes at a grower special.

Greens for the boxes will be BABY COS LETTUCE from Baxter, and the Yarra Valley SILVERBEET - small boxes will have BABY SPINACH from Pearcedale.

APPLES in the boxes will be a mix of Fuji and Pink Lady from Red Hill. NAVEL ORANGES from Mildura continue. New CORELLA PEARS replace the Packhams, but won't be here for long, and second flush of KIWI almost done too.

New late season AVANA MANDARINS are here from MIldura, with the Daisy and Afourer finished now.

Not sure if we’ll have AVOCADO or STRAWBERRIES this week - rain up north has slowed the berries, and avocado are between grower harvests. Once the Mildura pick starts, we should have avocado for a good while into summer.
