A real mix of local spring produce and some new season summer produce from up north in the boxes this week.
You’ll find broad beans, swiss browns, pak choy and broccoli - and also tomato, eggplant, cucumber and sweet potato.
Check out this week's stir fry recipe for using your broadies, carrots, pak choy and broccoli.
Eat well,
Graham

BROAD BEANS now coming from biodynamic growers in Mildura, as well as the pick from Swan Hill we’ve had for a few weeks - find them in this weeks Mixed Choice boxes, whilst the Vic boxes enjoy SWISS BROWN MUSHROOMS from Diggers Rest as a nice addition.
Biodynamic BROCCOLI and CAULIFLOWER continue from northern growers- excellent value for all brassicas this week, including red and green CABBAGES.
Looking for something new in the boxes we’re including some Queensland EGGPLANT and early TOMATO in honour of the warm weekend.
Greens will be closer to home with PAK CHOY from Colac and Baby Cos LETTUCE from Mornington Peninsula.
Root veg will be PARSNIP and small CARROTS from up north, and new season DUTCH CREAM from new growers.
SWEET POTATO is also top value right now, if that's your thing - PUMPKIN is on the other end of the scale whilst we wait for warmer weather for the local season - in the meantime we’re still getting the Butternut from Mildura for the Vic boxes.
APPLES from Red Hill will be Granny Smith, Pink Lady, Fuji and Golden Delicious - for the boxes either Braeburn or Lady Williams.
BANANA coming back strong, although still coming in a little green - will ripen up in just a couple of days in a warm kitchen. And park the AVOCADO near them if you want to speed up their ripening too.
PACKHAM PEARS return to some boxes, coming from South Aus growers this pick of green pears.
And hopefully STRAWBERRIES are back this week, after being hit by heavy rain last week.
