Summer produce of tomato, cucumber and eggplant continues to be replaced with the cooler seasons produce.
This week we have a new season for Brussel Sprouts, Spring Onion, Spinach bunches and Pomegranates.
In the veg boxes this week we have a last gasp of tomato and cucumber from up north before we roll over to all root veg, brassicas and greens.
Eat well,
Graham
PS. Choose from one of our box selection, and let us know your “no list”; or make one of your own by choosing the vegetables and fruit you prefer.

New season BRUSSEL SPROUTS kicks off this week with the first harvest from Nyah in Victorian north. It marks the beginning proper of the brassica season.
BROCCOLI from Gippsland and the peninsula region has come back in price significantly, and we should see the same for CAULIFLOWER and CABBAGE in the coming weeks.
Still a small amount of TOMATO coming from Ronald in Campbelltown, and the LEBANESE CUCUMBER are all from interstate now.
New season SPRING ONION from Colac is back and there is a nice pick of LEEK coming through also - expect plenty of Leek in the Victorian boxes over the coming weeks.
SILVERBEET from Labertouche will be our greens, as well SPINACH bunches, which are back after an extended break in the warm weather.
For fruit, new season POMEGRANATE from Mildura and SHEPHARD AVOCADO from a similar area.
New variety of PEARS will be Packham (replacing Williams) from biodynamic orchards from the Greenwood family in Merrigum.
Our preference for APPLES is still biodynamic Fuji and Jonathons from Red Hill - however a new grower from Tassie with their Gala is a close second.
From Mildura HONEYDEW season replaces the Rockmelon - we’ll have delicious halves in the boxes this week.
We’ll probably see STRAWBERRIES slow down now the cool nights are set in - however the forecast for plenty of sun next week should at least see them running for a while longer but not in the same quantities for picking.
