Still a month to the end of Spring but starting to see more signs of seasons changing - eggplant, tomato, cucumber, snow peas and valencia oranges - all starting to make an appearance from Vic growers.
And Cup Day marks the end of frosts 🤞
Eat well,
Graham

We’re just starting to see the first signs of Summer in the Victorian boxes, with EGGPLANT and TOMATO coming from the polytunnels in Labertouche in Gippsland.
Florian in Daylesford will be picking SNOW PEAS again for the Vic boxes, and there is a good chance we’ll have SHELLING PEAS from biodynamic paddocks in Mildura this week too.
FENNEL from Gippsland has been excellent and will be in most boxes.
LETTUCE from Daylesford and the Peninsula will be the greens for the week, along with some RADISH from Colac.
New season SWEET GREY pumpkin will be replacing the Jap and Butternut seasons, and will be in the Mixed Choice boxes.
The last weeks of PARSNIP are coming as we swap over seasons, and so too KOHLRABI and CELERIAC.
A new pick of BEETROOT from Swan Hill is just starting - expect GOLD beets for the boxes.
Last week for Daylesford POTATO - then it's Queensland only until next January.
CAULIFLOWER is quite tight for availability at the moment - we didn't get the colour cauli’s we’d planned for last week, so we’re going again. A small amount is still being picked around Mornington thankfully.
For fruit, MANGO is back and should stay around through to the end of the year. And the first of the ROCKMELON from up north will make their way into the boxes.
VALENCIA oranges signal the end of the NAVEL season, with this week most likely the last.
And for good value, continue with BLUEBERRIES ($5.80) and Victorian AVOCADO (3 for $4). We should see BANANA around $5.90 again too.
