THIS WEEKS PRODUCE

New season biodynamic GREEN CAPSICUM begins this week, picked in Mildura from Mack biodynamic growers. Still a little early for red caps but wont be too long.

CARROTS are pretty short at the moment - we will have them this week, but may be excluded from next week's boxes.

The weather up north a couple months ago has caused disruption with carrots and POTATO, which has consequently put pressure on local crops. So it could be a lean Christmas for both.

This week we do have the last of DUTCH CREAM, plenty of SEBAGO and some CHATS also to keep us going.

MUSHROOM from Diggers Rest haven’t been great the last couple of weeks - struggling in the humidity - our pick would be the Swiss Browns, they seem to be doing better than the Whites.

SWEET POTATO are also hard to get - this week we’ve been given more assurances (again) that they’ll be coming down for packing day. I’ll be checking with them later today (Monday) and hoping for good news.

Plenty of green CABBAGE - this week's pick is from down near Pakenham - nice sized heads, and in boxes in quarters.

Biodynamic SNOW PEAS start now from Inverleigh near Geelong - excellent eating, and excellent value - also great value on Darren's biodynamic SALAD MIX, which are the salad greens for this week's boxes.

SPRING ONION also nice value this week - coming from growers in Gippsland and Inverleigh.

New season BASIL starts this week, with a pick coming up from Monbulk.

APPLES starting to toughen up a little near the end of the season - Golden Delicious and Pink Lady from Red Hill probably the best of them, although softer than the start of the season.

Looks to be MANGO coming for Christmas, which is a good sign for the rest of the season.

Daylesford STRAWBERRIES coming direct from Adam - $6.90 a punnet.

And Mildura AVOCADO (small) are 3 for $5.
