There's a nice patch of round BEANS from Shepparton coming in for the boxes this week - nice value too - we’ll be swapping between picks in Bairnsdale too.
Plenty of CAPSICUM from Vic growers - we’ll have mild YELLOW BULLHORNS from Swan Hill and RED CAPSICUM from Koo Wee Rup and biodynamic growers in Mildura.
New season BEETROOT with leaves will be with us next week if they’re ready - in the meantime we have loose beets from Swan Hill in this week's boxes.
CAULIFLOWER is a little unreliable, so still haven't added to the website to be sure - BROCCOLI is also slowing, but should be ok for orders this week - also new pick of BROCCOLINI from Bairnsdale.
TOMATO is slowing also - a small amount from Swan Hill and Geelong, and some ROMA from Gippsland - looking to be an early end to the season.
Plenty of ZUCCHINI for now though - plants have given another flower burst, and we have a range of growers from Ronald locally, to ones in Mildura and down the Peninsula.
For greens in this week's boxes, SILVERBEET from Colac in the larger boxes, BABY SPINACH in the small boxes, and plenty of BABY COS LETTUCE from Baxter.
For fruit, we may be without AVOCADO the next few weeks - the Ryan variety seems to be finished, and waiting on the next variety to appear.
Nice drop in BANANA price this week (despite all the talk about transport prices). So too for the biodynamic PACKHAM PEARS from Shepparton, and even the new season biodynamic FUJI APPLES from Red Hill have dropped.
You’ll also find excellent value in BEURRE BOSC PEARS and biodynamic NASHI.
