Lovely to see Celery back among Vic growers - been quite a few years.
And as the abundant Capsicum season continues, as we see final days for Tomato and Beans, and the beginning of cooler weather for brassicas such as Broccoli, Cauliflower, Kale and Cabbage.
Eat well,
Graham

It’s been awhile but we’ve got CELERY from Victoria back - and in the boxes - this crop coming from down the Peninsula.
From Koo Wee Rup, plenty of RED BULLHORN and MULTI CAPSICUM are still coming through even as the weather cools.
We’d expect just a short time left for BEANS and ROMA TOMATO as the rains arrive.
Brassicas will fare much better, with more BROCCOLI from Pakenham growers and a small amount of CAULIFLOWER from northern Victoria (still to be determined).
Local POTATO from Bullarto are expected to start this week - Dutch Cream and Sebago will be the varieties; also have CHAT POTATO from biodynamic growers near Geelong for $3.90kg.
In the boxes this week, we’ll have RED SWEET POTATO as well as local spuds. And from Mildura, JAP PUMPKIN will also be in the boxes.
BABY SPINACH should be back this week, although ROCKET is a possible out.
New season biodynamic JONATHON apples from Red Hill arrive; joining Summer Pinks, Fuji, Granny Smith and Gala varieties.
New season for YA LI PEARS - this variety is a crisp crunchy pear not too dissimilar from nashi pear, without the apple flavour.
With Adams potatoes starting this week, we’d expect the STRAWBERRY season to be ending soon - last year, they went all the way into May, but if this icy cold rain continues it will end the season soon.
GRAPES being from Mildura and Robinvale are more sheltered from this local weather, so we’ll have the two varieties of WHITE MUSCAT and CRIMSON SEEDLESS.
And finally, the new season for biodynamic QUINCE in Shepparton starts this week.
