Both sides of the bay feature in the boxes this week - with greens from Colac, Koo Wee Rup and Monbulk. Whilst brassicas are from Bairnsdale and root veg from Daylesford, Inverleigh and Swan Hill.
Winter is the peak season for local produce, so as we move more into the colder months you’ll notice a lot of similarities between the Mixed Choice and Victorian boxes.
Apart from bananas and sweet potatoes. If you start seeing bananas in your Vic boxes, you know we’ve got bigger problems 😜
Eat well,
Graham
PS. Choose from one of our box selection, and let us know your “no list”; or make one of your own by choosing the vegetables and fruit you prefer.

For Victorian boxes we have small CAULIFLOWER from Bairnsdale again - great value - and for Mixed Choice boxes and orders, your cauli is from up north - also great value right now.
New season RED CABBAGE starts this week, with two growers providing for the boxes - Biofarm from Tassie and biodynamic Mt Whitestone from Queensland. The Vic crop from Colac is still a few weeks away.
OAK LETTUCE from Monbulk will be this week's lettuce for the boxes; greens will be PAK CHOY from Foothills in Colac.
And if you can count FENNEL as “greens” we’ll have plenty of Gippsland fennel in all the boxes.
LEEK instead of onions for most folk this week. And for root veg, PARSNIP is from Tassie and Inverleigh, and KOHLRABI from Swan Hill - a mix will be in all Mixed and Vic boxes.
Excellent value for CELERY continues for any juicers out there - we won't be including them in the boxes again this week, but it's a great time to take advantage of these considerably lower prices.
We have new season RED SWEET POTATO for a short time for any sweet potato lovers out there.
PUMPKIN (Jap and Butternut) pretty abundant now, and pretty good value, as the Mildura growers finish hardening off their harvest and sending more down.
For fruit, Imperial MANDARIN from Mildura start this week, along with DAISY mandarins which were in last week's boxes.
PEARS will continue for a good while yet - have a small amount of Red Anjou, but mostly it will be Beurre Bosc and Packham as our preferred.
Navel ORANGES and Red GRAPEFRUIT are getting going now with crop picks from Shepparton and Mildura.
Nice to see BANANA back in price this week.
And as the Winter arrives expect plenty of RHUBARB - two Vic growers, from Colac and biodynamic harvest from Dalmore on the other side of the bay.
