A selection of new veg starts this week, with daikon, celeriac and wombok all arriving together.

Expect plenty of brassicas and root veg in the boxes, with the Mixed Choice having a salad-twist with corn, cucumber and baby cos lettuce.

For good value, can’t beat cauliflower, celery, kale, and parsnip right now.

THIS WEEKS PRODUCE

Best value right now is in the brassicas, so we can’t go past including CAULIFLOWER and CABBAGE in the boxes - both Mixed and Vic boxes - new season WOMBOK will be in the Mixed Choice.

Root veg is next best, and PARSNIP from Pakenham is excellent right now. New season biodynamic CELERIAC (Inverleigh) and DAIKON RADISH (Colac) will join them in the Vic boxes.

SWEET CORN is returning for a couple of weeks just to include something different. And the new season BABY COS LETTUCE from Mornington and Labertouche will have Gippsland CUCUMBER joining them in the boxes.

Aswell as the BABY COS, greens for the boxes will be SILVERBEET from Labertouche and SPINACH from Pearcedale.

For fruit, Mildura MANDARINS continue with their good start to the season. Queensland NAVEL ORANGES arrive, and are a little smaller in size than last week's Swan Hill crop.

Biodynamic PEARS (Beurre Bosc and Packham) are from Merrigum again, and APPLES for the boxes will be a mix of biodynamic FUJI and organic PINK LADY from Shepparton.
