This is coming into our favourite time of year for food boxes - fresh vibrant greens, hearty root veg and loads of seasonal changes from week to week.
This week's boxes are full of smoky celeriac, nice sized cauliflower, ripe pumpkin, fresh spinach and wombok, plus the usual staples of local carrots and spuds.
Eat well,
Graham
PS. Choose from one of our box selection, and let us know your “no list”; or make one of your own by choosing the vegetables and fruit you prefer.

Last week the WOMBOK we expected was disrupted with changes to grower routines because of our public holiday. This week, we’re pretty confident we’ll have Wombok for you, and we’ll be including quarters in the boxes.
New season biodynamic CELERIAC from Darren in Inverleigh kicked off last week, and tasted great (after some experimenting on the weekend). Roast it, slice thin and fry it, combine with cauli or potato in a mash - so many ways to use this delicious veg.
DAIKON also didn’t make it to the boxes last week - Joe from Colac is expecting to be picking them this week though, so we’re including them again.
Greens for the boxes will be excellent value CELERY halves, and bunches of fresh SPINACH from Pearcedale.
PARSNIP now comes near Pakenham in Melbourne’s south east, much smaller in size than the previous harvest in Geelong.
CAULIFLOWER continues to be excellent value - this week's grower will be from over the border, so Vic boxes will have ROMANESCO as an alternative.
For fruit, a selection of citrus with NAVEL ORANGES eating well, DAISY or IMPERIAL mandarins from Mildura, and RED GRAPEFRUIT from Shepparton.
PEARS is a mix of Beurre Bosc (our favourite), Red Anjou and Packham - all biodynamic from Merrigum north east of Bendigo.
