BROCCOLI from local Vic growers is slowing down for a few weeks. We’ll have plenty for orders, however veg boxes will be mostly CAULIFLOWER from Mornington and maybe some BROCCOLINI bunches from Bairnsdale.
Biodynamic RED CABBAGE quarters in the veg boxes.
Plenty of excellent and fresh BEETROOT being picked up in Swan Hill, with or without leaves for your preference.
PARSNIP from Pakenham starting to slow down after a bumper crop - we’ll still have plenty from biodynamic gardens in Inverleigh, and from further away in Tassie.
A late flush of smallish EGGPLANT means we’re including them in the boxes this week
Greens for the boxes will be BOK CHOY bunches from Colac - nice value for the week - and BABY COS LETTUCE from Mornington growers.
LEEKS will replace Onions for the boxes - nice plump sized veg from Colac growers.
Red CAPSICUM looks to be finished - we’ll have a small amount of biodynamic GREEN CAPSICUM from Mildura - and these will be in the Victorian boxes for the week.
Local CARROTS also finishing up soon - with the last pick last week. From Daylesford we’ll be including Mildura and Tassie carrots.
Plenty of POTATO from Daylesford for some time yet - and a new season Pontiac variety joining them.
Also in the boxes, baby SWEET POTATO in small amounts.
For fruit, Swan Hill MANDARINS are the sweetest tasting - and the DAISY MANDARIN from Mildura are top pick for that tartness.
Biodynamic QUINCE from Shepparton is back on the website for a couple of weeks, and that will be the end of the season for them.
And for good value AVOCADO is 2 for $3 this week.
