Week 37 - Biodynamic Swede, Cauliflower, Broad Beans, Onions, Spinach and Baby Cos Lettuce

We’ve had a few dramas and emergencies this week among the team and in the store, so hope you’ll allow us a shorter and quicker email for the week.

Thankfully not much damage from the crazy weather last Wednesday, and everything ready to go for this week.

Eat well,
Graham

PS. Choose from one of our box selection, and let us know your “no list”; or make one of your own by choosing the vegetables and fruit you prefer.

THIS WEEKS PRODUCE

Biodynamic SWEDE from Inverleigh is our main root veg for the boxes this week. A couple of nice recipe ideas to help you in the kitchen, combining with biodynamic CAULIFLOWER that has been a regular feature for weeks now.

Local PARSNIP is now finished, with a small amount of the Pakenham harvest still to go before we head up north.

Plenty of KOHLRABI from Swan Hill, and these will feature in the Vic boxes again.

For Mixed Choice, we’ll have SWEET POTATO and biodynamic ONIONS from up north.

And a small amount of CUCUMBER and TOMATO for some salad dishes - combined with Baby Cos LETTUCE from Mornington.

For fruit, APPLES are starting to tire and soften at this end of the season - Golden Delicious still eating well, and Fuji’s are sweet, if a little lacking in the crunch.

For citrus AFOURER is our mandarin variety, and we’ll be including both TANGELO and NAVEL ORANGES from Mildura in all the boxes.
