THIS WEEKS PRODUCE

Nice BROCCOLI from Pakenham and Nyah in northern Vic continues - great value too. Other brassicas like CABBAGE, not everyone's favourite, but top value right now, and KALE in the same boat.

CAULIFLOWER just started again, but too early to add it to the website for orders - we’ll see how the first pick goes.

From Swan Hill, BEETROOT with leaves are freshly picked for the boxes this week - as well as a small amount from Inverleigh.

For Victorian boxes, RED ONIONS from Koo Wee Rup join the new season SEBAGO potato from Ronald in Campbelltown.

New season Daylesford CARROTS are just a couple of weeks away from harvest.

LETTUCE has suffered from the lack of rain the past couple of months so may be short - for greens we’ll have green curly KALE from Baxter and SPINACH from Pearcedale.

Biodynamic TOMATO and ZUCCHINI from Inverleigh continue - both have been excellent and Ronald will be picking more baby zucchini for the boxes.

We may be without BEANS and SNOW PEAS this week - i’ve left them up for orders, but the heat hasn't been kind to them so they may not make the pick for the boxes on Thursday.

New season AKANE APPLES are here with GALA from Merrigum and Shepparton areas. The Akane are a tart soft old style variety that come in early Summer just for a short season.

PLUM varieties are changing too - with RED CANDY coming in this week, and joining the MARIPOSA BLOOD plum variety - also from Shepparton orchards.

Biodynamic GRAPES from Robinvale are hitting their peak now - we have the red FLAME SEEDLESS and the green DAWN SEEDLESS varieties - both excellent eating.

And for berries, Daylesford STRAWBERRIES and Tasmanian BLUEBERRIES are doing well and plentiful despite the heat in the cooler growing areas.
