It’s still slow on the farms, but we’re starting to see more tomato, eggplant and greens coming - as well as new season carrots, pears and apples.

THIS WEEKS PRODUCE

From Inverleigh near Geelong, Darren is picking abundant EGGPLANT after a nice few days of sun and warmer evenings (at last).

Not much CUCUMBER unfortunately, Lebanese is pretty scarce and Ronald is picking only about 20kg of Green Cucumber each week.

BROCCOLINI is coming from Bairnsdale and in the boxes for the week. BROCCOLI is back, being picked from the Peninsula area.

New season Daylesford CARROTS start this week - last week's power outage and storms caused some delays.

Greens for the week will be new season Red Curly KALE from Mornington, and the always-excellent Baby Cos LETTUCE from Labertouche.

ROMA tomatoes from Swan Hill are excellent value, and will be in the boxes along with Ronalds Grosse Lisse TOMATO.

A huge flush of ZUCCHINI from a bunch of Vic growers has brought the price down - expect more in the boxes again this week.

Both RED ONIONS and SPRING ONION will be missing for a little while - we’ll get the Spring Onion back first most likely.

New season APPLES continue with Gala and Kalie the pick - both from biodynamic growers in Shepparton and Red Hill respectively.

Biodynamic Williams PEARS from Merrigum growers will be in the boxes, and White Muscat GRAPES are excellent value.
