THIS WEEKS PRODUCE

We thought ZUCCHINI was finished, but Ronald tells us the plants are giving off more fruit and so we’ll have local zukes as well as yellow SQUASH in the boxes again this week.

Down in Koo Wee Rup we have the bell shaped PIMENTO CAPSICUM and fresh SWEET CORN; however the corn is a little short this week, so probably just one cob in many boxes.

Also from the Gippsland area, lovely small EGGPLANTS again for the week.

BROCCOLI is having a little break as the plants catch up - only a little around this week. So too with CAULIFLOWER with small heads from Nyah in northern Victoria.

New season JAP PUMPKIN excellent value for the week, and SWEET POTATO has come back in price too.

ROMA TOMATO from Gippsland and Ronalds heirlooms will be our TOMATO for the week - the crop from biodynamic growers near Geelong seems to be slowing down.

Fresh TURMERIC is back for those of you that have been asking.

For fruit, Victorian NECTARINES and PEACHES are done for the year - we’ll still have biodynamic BLOOD PLUMS from Swan Hill and RED CANDY PLUMS from Mildura.

Sultana GRAPES are our pick for flavour and value - expect plenty in the  boxes again.
