Biodynamic shelling peas from Mildura arriving this week for the veg boxes, whilst snow peas are also back in season.
Peas, shelling and snow, are starting to arrive for Spring now we are getting some warmer overnights. This week marks to official (?!) end of the frosts 🙂
The boxes are heavy on the leafy greens in the Vics this week, with salad veg of radish, mixed salad and fennel featuring - along with new season asparagus and avana mandarins.
Greens are loving these warmer days, and the recent rains on both sides of the peninsula mean plenty for the boxes this week.
A real mix of local spring produce and some new season summer produce from up north in the boxes this week.
We’re still holding off on asparagus, but it's coming! Broccolini returns in abundance alongside biodynamic broccoli and more consistent beans as the weather warms up.

We’re seeing the first picks of asparagus from down Gippsland way, but still a little early for our organic growers - not long now though :)
Plenty of greens coming through with this warm start to Spring - cos lettuce, silverbeet, chard, mixed lettuce, chinese greens and radish (hopefully) all feature in this week's boxes.
